At the beggining, one of the scientists is playing a 2d version of a game that can also be played as a 3d version.

My only complaint is that I only have like 5 coworkers. Give me like 15 damn it! I want to feel like I'm in a busy office! Besides that, I love this expansion.

This game should have been in the sims 3 they also should added more jobs I won't be buying the sims 4 not for a long time I do not like the game play and the changes that were made or the things that they took away. The sims 2 was one of the best sims I liked the expansion packs the expansion pack for the sims 3 was not as good as the ones for the sims 2. I liked how in the sims 3 you could go on real dates to restaurants and things like that and the types of business you could own. The sims 2 open for business and nightlife were the best expansion packs.

This sounds awesome until you realize there's only 3 careers (not counting the businesses you can open) which means they'll probably release other career paths as $5-$15 DLC. Y u gotta be like that, EA?

Despite the Scientist career being - probably - the least interesting career of all in the expansion, I have the feeling that once we played the game, this would actually be the most fun career of all.

You know, I kind of feel they were lazy. They didn't add SO many things! They have no toddlers, no color wheels, you don't get an open map, no cars, not many houses. Its just kind of sad. Don't get me wrong I love The Sims 4, but I wish they took more time and added a lot. I have heard rumors saying that they are adding toddlers next week but i'm not too sure. But what confuses me so much is Get To Work. It adds 3 jobs that are not rabbit-hole jobs, Doctors, Detectives, Scientists. I loved the trailers and i'm really excited. You also get businesses. But if you have a child at home and you want them to do homework or if you have a teen and you want them to paint and you are at work with your adult...how will you get to them without like wasting an hour of the job? There is no open map that makes this simple. I really really am HOPING they add an open map. I will like cry tears of joy if they add an open map. I loved the open maps, the taxis, the cars. So there is my rant. No hate, you can disagree and tell me some flaws I would actually enjoy to read what people think I said wrong or get a different point of view in this situation.

You're technically saying that you want your game to run like crap, because that's what it will do with all those.

One of the big problems with Sims 3 was that, because of the open world format, it really tended to suffer performance-wise, and with this whole obsession with FPS and smooth gameplay, I'm guessing EA wasn't willing to leave that be.  Alot of that stuttering was because of issues with AI, especially with pathing.  As I'm guessing you know, AI and pathing in Sims 4 are hugely improved over Sims 3, especially since the game doesn't have to do pathing for every Sim in the world at once.  Speaking as an student in computer science, AI is really difficult to get right, especially to the degree that Sims 4 needs it.  I'm guessing EA told Maxis to make it as smooth as they possibly could.  I'm willing to bet that EA set performance standards for the game so high that Maxis simply didn't have the time to add things like toddlers or pools at launch, let alone the open map.  At the very least the Sims devs are trying to make up for it (like adding pools for free), but again, I don't think it's because the devs were lazy, I think it's because EA (or someone else making the decisions) decided performance was more important than total content.  I don't have any real evidence to back this up, but this is my two cents on the matter.

They won't, because it's embedded in the programming. It would need to be a whole new game :(
